Komodo open trip 3 days 2 nights
The Komodo Open Trip 3 Days 2 Nights provides a structured exploration of Komodo National Park, covering essential destinations within a manageable schedule. The itinerary includes Kelor Island, Manjarite, Kalong Island, Padar Island, Pink Beach, Manta Point, Taka Makassar, and either Siaba or Kanawa depending on sea conditions.
Participants travel aboard a shared phinisi boat accompanied by a professional crew and certified guide, ensuring safety, clear coordination, and steady pacing. The program integrates light trekking, snorkeling, marine wildlife observation, and scenic sailing. The inclusion of Kalong Island offers an added natural spectacle, where thousands of flying foxes emerge from mangrove forests at dusk. This trip is suited for solo travelers, couples, and small groups seeking a well-organized introduction to the landscapes and biodiversity of Komodo National Park.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Labuan Bajo – Kelor – Manjarite – Kalong – Padar
The journey begins at Labuan Bajo harbor, where participants board the phinisi boat and receive a safety briefing. The boat then sails to Kelor Island for a short trek to the summit, offering sweeping views of small islands scattered along the horizon.
Next, the group heads to Manjarite, a snorkeling spot with crystal-clear water and a seabed so pristine it feels untouched.
As sunset approaches, the boat cruises to Kalong Island. Here, participants witness thousands of bats emerging from the mangrove forest, flying in unison across the evening sky a silent procession that feels like a daily ritual of nature.
After this experience, the boat continues sailing toward Padar Island and anchors for the first night.
Day 2 Padar – Pink Beach – Manta Point – Taka Makassar
The day may begin with an optional hike to the top of Padar Island before breakfast.
The boat then sails to Pink Beach to enjoy its unique pink-hued sand, snorkeling activities, or relaxing along the shore.
The journey continues to Manta Point for snorkeling, with the chance to encounter manta rays that often glide gracefully through the strong currents.
Afterward, the group visits Taka Makassar, a white sandbank that appears in the middle of the sea, offering a brief and peaceful stop to rest. The boat anchors overnight in a safe area within the national park zone.
Day 3 Siaba or Kanawa – Labuan Bajo
The final day is spent snorkeling at Siaba, a site frequently visited by sea turtles, or exploring Kanawa Island for swimming and photography.
After the last session of enjoying the sea, the boat returns to Labuan Bajo for check-out and the conclusion of the trip.
